about me

Yukiko is a watercolour artist whose paintings begin with quiet images that appear in her mind.
She began painting with watercolours during the COVID pandemic, returning to a love of drawing that had been with her since childhood. The soft way colours flow and blend on paper became the perfect medium for the visions she started to receive.
Her paintings often feature animals, plants, and rainbow-like colours — gentle symbols that seem to emerge naturally as she works. Rather than planning every detail, Yukiko follows these images with curiosity, allowing the painting to unfold.
In her practice she also creates Tsugi Art, incorporating small fragments of discarded materials such as advertisements into the painting. By joining these everyday pieces with watercolour, they are transformed into new colours and stories, expressing themes of renewal, hope, and connection.
A small dragon fairy sometimes appears quietly within her paintings. This tiny studio spirit brings a playful sense of wonder, inviting viewers to look a little closer.
Many collectors have shared that Yukiko’s paintings seem to arrive at just the right moment in their lives. For Yukiko, each artwork becomes a meeting point — where colour, intuition, and personal meaning gently connect.
