The first image I received for this work was of a single flower and a large blue wing.
The flower stood tall and graceful, yet held a sense of quiet flexibility.
Beside it, the wing felt delicate in its details, as if it carried a long history, and yet it flowed with a gentle, fluid motion.
From these two elements, I sensed a steady heartbeat—thump, thump, thump.
Originally, the painting was completed with a bright, warm circle in the upper left corner—like a sun, a source of energy.
But later, another image appeared in my mind: a calm, quiet circle.
So I added that too.
I believe that’s when the concept of yin and yang emerged in the work.
For the collage element, I hand-tore pieces of advertisement paper and used them to form the two circles—adding a sense of rebirth and regeneration to the theme.
